Whaleoil picks up on a death notice in the Herald (Friday, May 02 2008), and asks “is John’s death notice a breach of the Electoral Finance Act”.  It’s come to this, that death-notices must be scrutinized by government agents, to ensure that they do not breach electoral law.  It’s a crying shame.

…He cherished his family above all else. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, John says “VOTE NATIONAL”…
